Our story…

Ceramic Tiles was established in 1966 so we have already celebrated a milestone of 50 years of trading and are proud of this achievement we think it illustrates our ability to evolve and provide our customers with the quality of products and services they require. Today the company remains privately owned and independent and as the name suggests we are tile specialists. Customer service is at the heart of everything we do. The company operates from our head office and distribution centre in Ipswich, Suffolk and being close to the port of Felixstowe and within an hour of London Cambridge and Norwich means our wide range of tiles and ancillary products are readily available for quick efficient delivery to our customers’ premises or sites. Deliveries throughout the South East and beyond are made using our own lorries, all with tail-lifts and employed drivers to ensure our service is of the highest standard from order through to delivery. Over the last 50 years we have established ourselves as one of the UK’s leading regional tile distributors and stockists of both high-quality tiles imported from some of Europe’s preeminent manufacturers and beyond and the leading brands in adhesive, grout, trims, tools, under tile heating and wet-room preparation such as BAL, Ardex, Schüter, Genesis, Rubi, Amber, Marmox and others. Therefore we are not only tile specialists but solution specialists providing trade and retail customers with everything needed for a successful installation in both commercial and domestic projects whatever the size or complexity.

Our Branches…

We currently have four branches (trading as Tile & Stone Gallery) in Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich where we stock a wide range of ancillary products for everyday collection by local traders and our branch teams offer helpful knowledgeable and always cheerful service and support. You will find our extensive range of tiles displayed on realistic displays and settings so our trade customers can send their clients in to choose with confidence.

Underlying everything we do is customer satisfaction and we like to think we are good at it.

Ceramic Tiles is a member of ABCD Distributors Limited, a network of independent tile and stone companies distributing nationally across the UK.

Ceramic Tiles is a Ceramic Tiles Group Company, which also incorporates Tile & Stone Gallery.

How it all started

• 1966

  Ceramic Tiles Limited was established.

• 1984

  The business moved from small premises on Norwich Road, Ipswich to several small units on Farthing Road Industrial Estate, Ipswich.

• 1986

  Showroom on Sproughton Road, Ipswich opens.
• 1996

  Nick Braybrooke, the owner, bought part of the business.

• 1999

  The business moved from Farthing Road, Ipswich into purpose-built premises in Boss Hall Road, Ipswich.

• 2000

  Stanway, Colchester branch opens serving trade and retail customers.

• 2002

  Nick Braybrooke completes purchase of 100% company equity.

• 2003

  Harlow branch opens serving trade and retail customers.

• 2004

  Bury St. Edmunds branch opens serving trade and retail customers.
• 2004

  Thetford branch opens serving trade and retail customers.

• 2005

  Ceramic Tiles joins ABCD Tile Group (an organisation of eight regional and Independent tile distributors who cooperate and use collective buying power)

• 2006

  Nick Braybrooke (Managing Director) takes on Chairmanship of ABCD.

• 2012

  Company Head Office and Distribution Centre moved from Boss Hall Road, Ipswich to fully owned larger premises in Olympus Close, Ipswich

• 2016

  Company completes 50^th year of trading.

• 2016

  Norwich branch opens (March) serving trade and retail customers.
